The Cunard liner Samaria nearing completion. She was launched on 27th November 1920 by Mrs Emmeline Beazley, wife of James Beazley, one of Cunard's directors. Apart from when requisitioned as a troopship during World War 2, the vessel sailed on the company's transatlantic services for 35 years until November 1955, when she was sold for breaking. '
