Thorpe Maltings - by 2015 there was little left of the building, which was erected 1874-1878, latterly used by Ind Coope brewery. In this image the kiln flues can be seen standing above the rooftop.
The West side handled Crystal Malt and the East Side handled Pale Malt.(In this photo the East side is to the left).
Grade 2 listed and "building at risk" listed, it has virtually fallen down. The Eastern half was mostly demolished for safety in 2007 with scaffolding holding up what little was left.
