' This was a timber bridge over the little riverside road . A rare photo of it is on my www.oldtyneside.co.uk website. It was constructed using massive square section timbers. As kids in the late 40s early 50s us kids played inside the bridge above the road the bin lorries used to get to the rubbish tips. '
