' Line - originally a horse-drawn tramway between Moreton and Stratford. It did not do well, even with a branch to Shipston-on-Stour. Taken over by the GWR in 1852. The passenger service between Stratford and Moreton stations in 1859. The GWR laid a new line to Shipton-on-Stour in 1889 - it closed to passengers in 1929 and to goods in 1960. '
