St Albans South Signal Box. Erected by the Midland Railway in 1892 as part of the building of two extra lines into London (The present Slow lines.) Closed in 1980 as part of the electrification of the line. Became derelict, and was taken over in 2006 by the St Albans Signal Box Preservation Trust. Restored and now regularly open to the public.
