Ashby Brewery.
The Brewery on Church Street, Staines was founded in 1796 by Thomas Ashby. The business was incorporated in 1887 as "Charles Ashby and Company Limited" and then in 1899 as "Ashby's Staines Brewery Limited". They were acquired by H and G Simonds in 1931 and in voluntary liquidation in 1936. Simonds later were swallowed up by Courage. '
