' Causeway Terrace. A group of seven houses in existence on the 1887 Ordnance Survey map. No.5 Causeway Terrace was the home from 1912 to 1937 of Charles and Eliza Curtis and family. Their sons Walter and Hubert were born at 49, Cromwell Street in 1909 and 1910. Eight further children were born: May (1912), John (1914), Edith (1915), Joseph (1917), Reginald (1919), Sydney (1920), Ellen (1922) and my father Leonard (1927). Causeway Terrace was accessed by a path which ran between 412, Stoney Stanton Road and an adjacent factory wall. The family moved to 35, Peel Street in 1937. The whole of Causeway Terrace had to be demolished as a result of the November 1940 bombing. '
