' This is a device for unloading coal wagons on the standard gauge sidings into a hopper that served the 2' gauge railway to the gasworks, situated at the bottom of the embankment. It's hard to make out, but it looks as though the wagons were rotated on a wagon turntable and then one end was hoisted up so the coal would drop out of the end doors and into the hoppers. '
