' The Bullring. This is a ring of lime trees, much older than Weston Favell House and the rest of the parkland. Dating back to at least the 18th Century, its original function is unknown though it seems once to have been at the intersection of two avenues of trees. James Manfield had the ha-ha curve around it so it became part of the garden to the house with ornamental ponds and rockeries to one side.The photograph shows the Bullring in November 2011. '
