THE REMNANTS OF ST THOMAS'S CHURCH, BATH ROW.....NOW THE LOCATION OF THE 'PEACE GARDEN'..ALONG WITH THE WWI MEMORIAL COLONADE RELOCATED FROM BROAD STREET IN 1989 WHEN THE ICC AND CENTENARY SQUARE WERE CONSTRUCTED.
THE FOUNDATION STONE OF ST THOMAS'S NEO-CLASSICAL CHURCH WAS LAID IN 1826 AND CONSECRATED THREE YEARS LATER. DESTROYED BY WWII BOMBS AND NOT REBUILT, AND IS THE ONLY REMAINING DAMAGED BUILDING FROM THE BLITZ STILL STANDING. '
