' This pleasure-boat may be the Myall Family's little TSMV "Skylark II" - both from the apparent size, and from the location of the beach "Pitch" leased from the Corporation's Pier & Foreshore Dept. If my identification is correct, she was requisitioned for the Dunkirk Evacuation on 28th May, 1940, - was damaged during that service and subsequently repaired by Tough's of Teddington; spent the rest of the War and an RN Harbour tender, and was returned to her Owners in late-1945.
