Lowland area adjacent to Liverpool Road that was once the Bache Pool (name given to the area). It was a tidal lagoon that was fed by the River Dee. However it ceased to be when the river was diverted because of canalization in the mid 18th century and the completion of the Chester canal effectively blocking the Bache brook. '
