Clifton Arms public house.
This pub (later renamed the Iron Bridge and the Olde Northwood) has lain unoccupied since the early part of 2016 and appears to be on the market.
It had a very poor reputation for very many years and most locals gave it a wide berth. Latterly hosting 'exotic dancers', it was completely out of place with its surroundings. Its passing will probably go unmourned. However, the building is an attractive Victorian red brick structure typical of its era and it would be nice if it was preserved for an alternative use. '
