barnards scrap iron yard.ran by barnard family george (codgger) and harry (chucker) who lived in house in front of yard along with sister anna (yard) cleared for building in 1976.rather eccentric family who on certain days would fight amongst themselves outside the front of the house in wimbush road 'anna with yardbrush and chucker punching any passing motors in wimbush road. coddger could be seen pushing old pram around hitchin collecting old scrap pots and pans until mid 1970s.
