This is the site of James Dymore &sons Family Brewery. Queens road and went all the way down east street.The Brewery was named after a pub which stood on the site The Albert Tap, this pub along with about 6 other plot that james Dymore Brown and to aquire over about 20 years before he could build his brewery and called it the Royal Albert Brewery. Morlands Abingdon aquired the shares of dymore-browns brewery.Thomas Skurray Chairman of Morlands also aquired the shares of Fergugson Angel Brewery broad street, andmoved fergusons to Queens road, untill 1977 when Morlands moved all Brewing to there Abingdon site and sadley that was the End of Two of Readings Great Breweries,also justin Brinns castle street Brewery was closed by jas Dymore Brown once he had built the new Queens Road brewery. Thats why apart from H & G Simons Brewery Morland had the next largest amount of pubs 55 over the years. '
