GWR St Philips Marsh Locomotive Shed. Coded SPM. Opened July 1910 and closed June 1964. The locomotives allocated to this depot were used mainly on freight work and at nationisation of the railways on 1st January 1948 had an allocation of 141 locomotives of various classes both tank and tender types. '
