Site of the original Cromford and High Peak station. The original line continued to curve here then straightened to cross the later line at a right angle, on top of the 1892 Hindlow tunnel, which was in daily use at 13 December 2017. The original line then curved al the way round the hill, to meet the later line at what is December 2017 was Hindlow Quarry, accessed opposite Sterndale Moor village. |
