This huge oak has a preservation order on it. Sadly it is slowly rotting and has had to have the crown greatly reduced this year (2014).

The Penzer Beech has gone c2011, from the corner of Bittel & Hewell Rds, from Decades of People posting their notices on the tree. I remember Granpa always telling them off! Thus after decades of abuse, they killed it! It was a preservation tree... The only Tree left, is a Silver Birch, @ the end of Orchard drive. Grandpa planted it c1965 = Ahhh Happy Poplar Days, all gone now, but one still remembers the Happy days spent there. Where Mum was born & her Cats. :)

A lovely Spring day, judging by the fruit trees in bloom in gardens bottom left and all the washing on lines.
