3 car LMS electric train at Rickmansworth Church Street station. The station closed to passengers on 3rd March 1952, but was used for goods traffic until 2nd January 1967

Rickmansworth and District Omnibus Co bus garage. Later became the site of Wright's Garage, an old established family business that survived until the beginning of this century.

This waterlogged area may well have been a gravel pit. It would seem that it was being filled in. It can some ten or so years later be seen to be a timber yard. It is now the site of a Travis Perkins builders' supplies depot.

Two locks. The lower one (top gates are just visible) is Batchworth Lock on the Grand Union Canal. The upper lock that is clearly visible goes from the canal up to the River Chess.
