The Coffin Route - a path from Headington Quarry to St Andrews Church in Old Headington where headington quarry folk would bury their dead. The path as far as Holley Cresc survives and then again on the boundary of Bury Knowle park (just off extreme left of pic). See http://www.headington.org.uk/history/misc/funeral_path.htm for a great history of how enclosures caused the path to be blocked, riot to ensue and eventually the people of Headington Quarry turning to Methodism.
