Smithfield cattle market. Built in 1871, the market was located off Friars' Street. It closed in the early 1990's and Safeway supermarket was later built on the site. The supermarket was subsequently taken over by Morrisons. |

Savoy cinema. Built in 1910 as King's Hall, became Savoy cinema in February 1927. Demolition underway in November 2018, student flats to be built on the site. The carved stone entrance frontage is to be salvaged and incorporated in new build. |
