Territorial Army Drill Hall. During the 1950s/60s the building used to double up as a venue for events such as the Halifax Ideal Home Exhibition. The building is still there (2013) but is now divided into residential apartments.

The Drill Hall was built between 1868-1870 as HQ for the 4th West Yorkshire Rifle Volunteer Corps and was in use until 1998.

Lily Bridge, a footbridge leading from Lily Lane, then going via steps and a tunnel underneath the station and out close to the Mackintosh factory. Still there(2013) but not much used nowadays - too dark and risky for most.

North Bridge South signal box. Opened 1911 with 20 levers. Closed c.1965.

Halifax East signal box. Opened 1884 with 70 lever frame. Levers removed 30th March 1969 when neighbouring cabins closed and centralisation of Halifax and Dryclough areas fell under this cabin. "IFS" panel installed, renamed "Halifax". Still open at time of writing. Due to close 2017. http://www.flickr.com/photos/robdaniels/sets/72157627103397415/

End of the branch from the main line of the Calder and Hebble Navigation at Salterhebble. Officially abandoned in 1942 and since mostly filled in and part used as a cycling and walking route.
