The site of Gheluvelt Park, officially opened, along with a group of almshouses, in 1922. It was originally the site of the gardens of Barbourne House.
It has always been Worcester's memorial to the fallen of World War One. In 2010, the park re-opened after extensive restoration and a new memorial to WW1 was dedicated. |
