Statue of William Harpur. The attached photo was taken on the 20th December 2013. The Google translation of the inscription is as follows: See traveler! Corporeal Portrait of William Harpur, Knight, schools of that. What you see is an extensive and well Munisicentissimi founder, If you want sympathy and skilful painting, The Charter of the benefits you will find Deliniatam. Perhaps a Latin scholar could give a better translation of the inscription.

CORRECTION - I've reread the Latin inscription and noticed I misread the f's & s's and some of the puctuation so I think the Latin is:

Ecce viator! Corporea Effigies Gulielmi harpur, Equitis Aurati, Scholce istius. Quam cernis amplam et ornatam Munificentissimi Fundatoris. Si ANIMOE Picturam fpectare velis, In Charta Beneficiorum invenias Delinia tam.

    Google translates this as:

See traveler! Corporeal Portrait of William Harpur, Knight, schools of that. What you see is a wide and equipped with generous founder. If you want sympathy and skilful painting, The Charter of the benefits you will find charms as well.

Footbridge over the railway line. This was a metal bridge with railway sleepers used for the steps but it has recently been replaced by a new bridge as shown in the attached photo taken on 7th December 2013. Judging by the size of the ironwork, I think it would survive a nuclear blast!
