The Premier Picture House. The beck alongside it is now largely culverted, except for the last few tens of yards to where it joins the canal. The picture house sits on what is now (2017) approximately the footprint of Fulton's Foods in the former Coop/Sunwin-House building.

The Plaza cinema, which still operates. It may have been 'The Gem' around 1914. It is what it appears, a former place of worship.
