Hadlow Place Mission (demolished), where Beckenham and Penge Cubs/Brownies Scouts/Guides used to meet in the 1960s. Church parades were at the old St Pauls Church (also demolished - but with modern replacement) in Hamlet Road - just out of shot in this image.

Originally known as Crystal Palace (Low Level) Station. It opened in 1854 with a spur line from Sydenham. Trains from Clapham Junction reached here in 1856 and the line was extended in 1857 to Norwood Junction
