This first rectory was built in 1847, shortly after the appointment as rector of E D Jackson. The rector contributed 200 pounds towards the 1200 pound cost. A new rectory was built in the rectory grounds between this old building and Heaton Moor road in 1957, but the old building was not demolished until 1964 and site sold. |
