Notice the huge number of tennis courts! Those in the foreground probably used by pupils of Kent College in Grimston Avenue (now Kent House flats), but every available open space has one, Terlingham Gardens, Westbourne Gardens, Clifton Crescent, even Trinity Crescent had one. |
