Interesting hole in the ground here. Anyone know what was built here? It presumably was bombed 20 years later?

Surely it was the St Martins Building of the GPO, sold off before King Edward building?

A number of buildings were built on this strip during the 1920's, including St Martin's Le Grand House. Only one of these buildings remains in 2013, No. 16 St Martin's Le Grand.

This is now the location of the St Paul's Cathedral School. This area was extensively bombed in WW2.
