This was known as "The Hyde swimming pool". As a youngster of probably 11 or 12, during the school holidays, I used to work on "The grates" which were the baskets you put your clothes in. You were given a big safety pin with a brass tag on with your grate number...I got to swim for free :) I lived in Hyde crescent which was nearly opposite the pool.

There was a tuck shop hatch that opened into the park which runs alongside the pool.
