Long after this house was demolished, the garden remained as a small park with a path through from corner to corner and some public conveniences added!

The old buildings here at the end of Holme Church Lane were demolished to make way for a 1970s housing development. My father had one of the garages seen in this shot and I played on the waste land here for many years - our house just out of shot to the left.

The original route of Blucher Lane. In the 1960s/70s many of these houses were demolished to create a through route from Holme Church Lane to Beckside. One house still remains at an odd angle to the present road at the end of the old street near the Forester's Arms.
