Batley Sewage Works. This would later become the site of the world famous Batley Variety Club which I watched being built as I was walked along Bradford Road as a very young boy by my mother. The first artistes to appear-The Batchelors.

Former rail tramway which passed under the two main railway viaducts at road level. It led to the gasworks and Soothill colliery. Presumably horse drawn,some old rails were rediscovered during the 1980's during repair works to road.
