2ndWW surface blast shelter?

These scars on the ground possibly show the position of the, now removed, gun pits of the 2nd WW HAA Gun Battery located at Robins Wood, GDA Nottingham and Derby. Designation number S / DNH14. Quite also possible are that some of the huts associated with the admin/accommodation can be seen surviving to the right in the outside circle; surrounding the surface blast shelter.

This curving track is, I believe, the mortal remains of the Bilborough Arm, a short lived branch from the Nottingham Canal.

Lock on Nottingham Canal. There’s still evidence of these in a small spinney behind the houses off Lambourne Drive.
