St Leonards Hotel, 6 The Promenade, during the 2ndWW it was used by Bletchley Park (X Station) as a 'Y' Station - a listening post for intercepting German Naval transmissions. The 'aerials' are the flagstaffs from the adjacent Coastguard station.

"Nettlesons" field with a fine collection of trams, buses and railway coach bodies to have your two weeks in. It may have been some 70 years ago but I can still remember those holidays. I can also remember the "soil" toilets next to each accommodation.

The turntable at the end of tracks to release the loco, allowing it to run around it's train really to return to Hull. As a young lad myself, the holiday could not start until this had been seen.

Withernsea Lighthouse. Now a museum that contains a display relating to Kay Kendal, a Withernsea lass who appeared in such films as "Geniveve" in the 1950's.
