HIGH STREET....TRUNCATED TO THIS POINT WHEN THE 'BULL RING' WAS CONSTRUCTED IN THE 1960'S AND THE RING ROAD CUT THROUGH. IT USED TO BE CONTINUOUS AND EXTENDED VIA HIGH STREET DIGBETH, DERITEND, TO CAMP HILL (KEMPE'S HILL) AND BEYOND. THE TOP EFFECTIVELY BECAME PEDESTRIAN ONLY APPROACHED THROUGH THE OUTDOOR MARKET AREA. WITH THE LATEST 'BULLRING' DEVELOPMENT IT HAS BECOME MORE EASILY ACCESSIBLE BUT STILL PEDESTRIAN ONLY.
