Village Hall, Chilham Grade 2 listed - English Heritage Building ID: 181461 Tithe barn, now village hall. C15 and 1930's. Timber framed with red brick infill and plinth and plain tile hipped roof, with free-standing stack to right. 4 wooden mullioned lights of the 1930's, double plank doorway centre-right. To left 1930's timber frame and red brick pentice and pavilion with open arched arcading. To right 1930's timber frame and red brick 1 storey outshot and extension

Although a little outside Chilham, this is Chilham railway station, opened 1846 - still open but unmanned. On the Ashford to Margate railway line. Trains from here to London Charing Cross and Canterbury.

Elephant House. Literally- see the large doorway arches. Elephants were kepts here for work on the Estate. Grade 2 listed building - English Heritage Building ID: 181418 Two 2-storey ashlared and keyed arches, now blocked, originally entrances for keeping of elephants used on the estate c. 1800. Elephant house, now house. Late C18, altered C19. Red brick and tile roof. Two storeys and attics

Mediaeval Castle- Today, of all the original stonework, only the octagonal keep with its rectangular extension remain. The keep is a separate dwelling and is also a listed building, Grade 1, English Heritage Building ID: 181416. Castle Keep and curtain walls. C11 and 1171 - 74 by Ralph, master mason, for Henry II; restored early C20. Flint with Caen stone dressings. Octagonal (the earlier of'only 2 in the country). There is evidence of an earlier Anglo Saxon fortification.

Chilham Castle Grade 1 listed building English Heritage Building ID: 181415 Post code CT4 8DB House. 1616 for Sir Dudley Digges, addtions and alterations by David Brandon 1861 - 3, and Sir Herbert Baker, 1922. Red brick and ashlar dressings and plain tile roof. Built as an hexagon open to the south, with C19 and C20 service wing extending to the west.
