Children's monument and memorial garden, Poplar Park Not the usual soldiers'war memorial but one that pays respect to a more immediate tragedy that occurred in 1917 when 18 primary schoolchildren from a nearby school in Upper North Street died as the result of an air raid. The attack was the first daylight raid of World War 1 on Upper North Street School on 13 June 1917.
