Manchester Education Authority Rural Studies Centre during 1950's and 60's. Great Saturday morning club for kids, loved it. Learned loads about plants, vegs, allotments, bees, wildlife, rural crafts and arts and we even entered Platt Fields Show - anything for a day off school. Played hare & hounds through the woods to the river. If too wet outdoors, black and white movies in the barn! '
