' Bridgewater Canal Runcord Old Locks- five two-rise locks theat originally connected the canal to the Mersey (and thence to Liverpool), later to the Runcorn and weston canal. They still largely exist, though buried- and their restoration would create a very useful link to the River Weaver, and a short but adventurous cruising ring, returning via the Anderton Lift. There's another view of these locks (and the New Line) on EAW021990. '
