' Reddish South Station. To the bottom is Stockport, above the line runs to Stalybridge. Notoriety comes from the station have ONE train PER WEEK, normally a Friday morning service from Stockport to Stalybridge. There is no return service. It has a certain popularity from its rareness, and the destination station Stalybridge which has a real ale bar on the platform. The old station buffet was once famous for its black peas (carlin or pigeon peas), but since a change of ownership these have come to be unavailable more often than not and cannot be relied upon. '
