' I believe that this could have been known as the Ragged School in the 1860's (but am not sure) and then in the early 1900's was known as Rack Street School. My grandfather attended this school until 1922. In the 1960's it was used as an annexe for the Exeter Technical College and I attended it for two years. Now converted into flats skilfully retaining the old structure with tasteful glazed additions. '
