' CURZON STREET STATION IS THE OLDEST SURVIVING RAILWAY STATION IN THE WORLD. IT FORMED ONE END OF THE '' L & B R Co'' (LONDON & BIRMINGHAM RAILWAY COMPANY) THE OTHER END EVENTUALLY TERMINATED AT EUSTON, IN 1834. IT HAS NOW BECOME IMPORTANT AGAIN BECAUSE OF IT BEING THE TERMINUS FOR THE FIRST(AND POSSIBLY THE ONLY) PORTION OF THE LINE KNOWN AS HS2. '
