Entrance to Kingsway Subway next to John Rennie's original Waterloo Bridge of 1817. Sir Giles Gilbert Scott's constuction would be built covering the entrance to the tunnel, which was also being rebuilt to accommodate double deck trams, reopening in 1931. The bridge itself was not finished until 1940 and had to wait another 5 years for it's official opening. '
