' Tram at the Waterloo Road terminal. Only one route ran from here - the 68 to Greenwich Church. Situated next to a fire station on one side of the road, and the famous Union Jack Club on the other it was convenient for both the main line station and the smaller one serving south east London and Kent. Horse trams served here from 1881 and electric cars from 1903. Stage 4 of Operation Tramaway saw the last trams run to here on 10th July 1951. '
