' 1940s Canadian Dodge tipper truck. These Canadian Dodges, though not as well known perhaps as the GMC / Ford of Canada made CMP programme were very important for the war effort and remained popular with a number of civilian operators for many years after they were released from the forces. The UK government procured large quantities of these military trucks directly from the Canadian government to act as makeshift relief trucks replacing the many trucks commandeered by our advisories. And the many worn out and badly maintained through lack of parts during the war. These Dodges were particularly sought after because they were less militarised - more civilian style- than some others. '
