3ft gauge tracks of the erstwhile Ballycastle Railway, which had just been closed (3/7/1950)by the Ulster Transport Authority during their purge of railways in Northern Ireland. It had been opened in 1880 and eventually absorbed by the LMS (NCC) in 1924 and thus Nationalised in 1948.

Pic also shows Ballymoney Railway station. Also the shunting/carriage yard (now gone/bus depot and bussness yard) and coming in from almost top left the Ballycastle/Armoy/Dervock/Stranocum line, also closed decommissioned in Early fifties, station still remains as part of the Belfast to Derry line.
