Pairs of POs (private owner) wagons with their end doors removed and loaded with long timber across two wagons. This could be a reflection of post-war wagon shortage or the reduction in the coal export traffic, for which such end door wagons were used. There is other evidence in the picture of timber traffic originating from Cardiff Docks.

This bridge does remain. The park side is bricked up, but the other side has doors on it, and is used as a garage.
