Singer's Sewing Machine Factory at Clydebank in Scotland was built from 1882 by Robert McAlpine and Sons. The tower had the largest clock faces in Scotland at the time. Sewing machines were popular before the boom of the ready to wear market. It was demolished in 1963 and the factory closed in 1980. |
