These are fields on the floodplain of the River Tweed.

This is a pin 'out of frame' below this one.

This feature - the double staircase and the 'shelter' below - may have a proper architectural description but I can't find what it's called. If someone knows then using it in Google, along with river, fishing hut, etc, may help identify the property.

A hut/shed. Could be a boathouse but it seems to be reasonably above the river level and I guess it could be a fishing hut 'attached' to the big house. Fishing huts are quite common on Scottish rivers but are more commonly 'isolated', i.e. not as close to a residence.

I can find nothing to link this image with Scotland. I am very likely to be wrong but I suspect that it may have been misfiled as Scotland at some time.

Evenin' class31. You may be right about the location. I'm no expert on country houses but I guess it COULD be Scotland.... or England... It is really annoying me, this one, and I think if we had some correct architectural terms for the shape of the builidng, especially the circulat entrance 'tower, then I suspect Google would help to find it quite quickly. For now, I'm continuing on assumption it's very much a fishing location.

Evenin ewnmcg. As this comment mentions me I guess I should reply to say that in my opinion, on the balance of probabilities I think that this photo is of a subject in England, but I could of course be horribly wrong.

Secondly on the idea of this being near a river, I can see no evidence of any river in the photograph. I think that the bottom left of the photo is of a cut field of hay which is awaiting gathering.

I too get annoyed when I can not find the location of a photo but I find that it doesn't help me find it and it is not helpful to my well being. I deal with it by moving on to some of the other unidentified photos. For me it doesn't pay to spend too long on each photo at a time.

I too hope that this photo is located soon. I wish you and everyone else every success.

In my view this will be lowland Scotland, a gentleman's victorian sporting residence, probably somewhere like the on the Tweed. The courtyard looks scottish, the garden terracing is very "Mawson" in style.

It looks like TomRobin was dead right with this call. I managed to find it using a google search for "terraced garden loggia scotland". The river is about 100m from the bottom of the garden so the fields were on the flood plain.

I'm so pleased that the location of this photo has been found. Well done Gavin Thomas. One less mystery to solve.

I'm glad this has been identified and that it still exists. I found a page with some photos of how the garden looks these days. https://caralockhartsmith.wordpress.com/tag/lennel/
