EPW061723 to EPW061727 are a group of the Tenbury Wells gas works. All were taken on 10th June 1939 on a beautiful summer's day. Who would have guessed that within three months the country would be entering into another bloody war only a generation after the war to end all wars. The cricketers going out to play is quite symbolic and moving to me. One wonders how many survived the war.

Thanks for the location for this group. You may be interested to know that the original Aerofilms Ltd Register entry says "Severn Valley Gas Co., Newbury Works". There's a big set of images of the firm's sites, but we couldn't get this one... We'll update the catalogue and post your new data here in due course.
